JERSEY (16 inch x 12 inch) map found in the Mayfair Hotel, St Helier, by Mr. G. Woodhall, which was Soldatenheim I during the German Occupation. Marked on the map in red ink are details of convoys to and from St Helier Harbour and also the three Soldatenheim. Donated by Mark Lamerton, 1982.

Used by Liberation Forces and shows details of the German Casualty Clearing Stations (Truppenverbandplätze) in the island. These were situated in a number of large country houses and each one was codenamed after a major German City. (Deposited January 2005)

JERSEY: German map of Jersey 1:25000 dated October 1942. The map has been used by the Liberation Troops, Royal Engineers, who have added the location of Anti-Air Landing Obstacles erected by the German Forces in the island. The island has been divided into three Areas and details of the Platoon responsible for clearance in each of these has been added. Each field of Obstacles on the map has been given a number and the field boundary is colour coded to highlight the extent of clearance carried out. A Legend has been added to the right hand side of the map. To the bottom right hand corner of the map the following has been added:

Michael Ginns used these maps when he was identifying the sites of German defensive structures in Jersey, 1986 (13 items).
