More Bunkers Daubed With Swastikas

Over forty swastikas have been daubed on bunkers at Noirmont Point, La Corbière, and Les Landes Common between the 15th and 22nd August.

This latest spate has occurred just a month after swastikas were spray-painted on other society bunkers. It is likely these swastikas were painted by the same person or persons as the same colour paint was used in both incidents.

Additional vandalism occurred, such as this damage to metalwork atop an escape hatch

The States Police have been very supportive, but have said “information from the public is vital in catching the culprits”. St. Brelade Cententier, Michael Bougard said “it was a real concern”. The States and Honorary Police have stepped up their patrols at Noirmont, Corbiere and Les Landes.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the States of Jersey Police on 612612 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
