Preoccupations Art Exhibition

“Preoccupations” is an exhibition launching a new Liberation 75 art and heritage project by Jersey-born artist, Christine Finn. It is inspired by the 31,000 Occupation identity photos in the Jersey Archive, scanned, then re-imagined, and displayed as family portraits. This opening show features the four women who lived at a single address, 54 Don Road, St.Helier, during the Occupation. They include the artist’s mother, and grandmother. This is a work-in-progress, with the kind permission of Linda Romeril, Archives and Collections Director, Jersey Heritage. The exhibition is an invitation to islanders to create their own portraits from the Archive to display together during the Liberation 75 anniversary.
